IMMUNOLOGY RESEARCH

Cytotoxic lymphocytes, i.e. natural killer (NK) cells and T cells, can recognize and kill virus infected or transformed cells. We discover fundamental properties of NK and T cells and try to figure out how these can be used in next generation therapies. We love live cell imaging and use this to learn more about dynamic cellular processes.

Our unique microchip technologies allow us to study large numbers of individual cells for extended times and thereby detect scarce subpopulations of cells and resolve heterogeneity within cell populations. Click on the topics below to learn more about our current projects.
